The port about which is today's article is located near Mahdia in Tunisia. So yes, after the articles from Egypt, we are again in Africa. This time I would like to show you an interesting historical place, named Ancien Port Fatimide (in French) or المرفئ الفاطمي القديم (in Arabic) as Tunisia has two official languages. 

The port itself is definitely one of the smallest I have ever seen, but it's definitely worth a visit! The port is placed at the Cape of Africa (Cap Africa, fr.) as it's called not only by locals. A few minutes of walk from the port, you'll see a beautiful ancient fatimide fortification La Porte de la Mer and also a lighthouse. 

Historický prístav, ktorému bude venovaný dnešný článok sa nachádza blízko rybárskeho mesta Mahdia v Tunisku. Ak by ste si ho chceli vyhľadať na mape, tak musíte zadať lokálny názov, inak Vám to nenájde. Keďže Tunisko má dva oficiálne jazyky, francúzštinu a arabčinu, tak aj toto miesto má samozrejme dvojjazyčný názov- Ancien Port Fatimide a المرفئ الفاطمي القديم. 

Aj keď samotný prístav patrí medzi najmenšie aké som kedy videla, určite stojí za návštevu. Pár minút od neho sa totiž nachádza aj staroveké opevnenie La Porte de la Mer ešte aj s delami, a tiež maják. Celé toto miesto sa nachádza na výbežku pevniny do mora a miestni mu hovoria aj koniec Afriky (respektíve mys Afrika).
